A rich and resonant orchestral instrument, same as the H180 with detachable bell. The Holton H280 is a free-blowing horn with rich and resonant intonation. Bell and branch are made of a special brass alloy for slightly darker tonal coloring. Good projection.
This Farkas model offers independent tuning for convenience allowing the player to tune the Bb side of the horn seperately from the F side. This Farkas Wrap horn offers a large throat yellow brass bell with nickel silver inner and outer slides.
In addition, the Holton Farkas horns all feature an independent tuning slide for the Bb side of the instrument for convenience. Holton horns also feature tapered rotors which create longevity for the instrument.
