This is a beautiful 1955 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, serial number 61663 in fantasic shape.
Very early in the production run of the Mark VI, this short bow alto has been outfitted with black roo pads and domed metal resonators. The sound is full, complex, and balanced, with superb response and even timbre throughout the range.
This horn shows moderate lacquer wear, and the body is in excellent condition. It was overhauled around 2021 and has been regularly maintained since.
Includes Protec Max case, no mouthpiece.
